SUMMARY:
Having grown from a small non-profit organisation (NPO) into one with teams, offices and multiple initiatives spread across the country, our client urgently needed to gain a clearer understanding of their business, processes and critical objectives in order to determine the best way forward for their organisation.
KEY CHALLENGES:
- The operations team was faced with uncertainty and reduced productivity due to duplicated and undocumented processes.
- Inefficient manual processes opened the organisation up to data capture errors which were exacerbated through the use of multiple systems.
- The team was overworked and falling behind deadlines due to these challenges, which resulted in low morale and reduced productivity.
THE ANALYZE SOLUTION:
We undertook a detailed review of the organisation’s functions, processes and systems, including:
- Outlining key challenges and suggesting appropriate solutions, working closely with the management team.
- Regular communication and feedback throughout the process to gauge the organisation’s opinions related to suggested solutions, as well as to generate maximum buy-in.
- A recommended journey to implement the agreed-upon changes was developed, allowing for essential dates in the organisation’s calendar.
The insights from our work proved to be invaluable. With the biggest challenges and inefficient processes now clearly evident, along with feasible steps to address these, the organisation reached a new level of internal alignment and made several crucial strategic decisions.
The first of which involved a second project for Analyze: Systems Selection.
“This process has helped us to identify what needs fixing and where we need to improve. Currently, we are duplicating both work and effort. Employees are stretched and are not getting to complete their work which means they are further pressured to try and meet deadlines.”
